Loan Dive Computers
Diveline now has the following computers available for loan!
Oceanic Veo 100, Atom 2 & OC1 - Suunto D9, D4 & Hel02 - VR3.
These are available on loan to our customers FOC for use in the pool or open water, we will need a copy of a valid passport or diving licence and a credit card deposit for open water use.
Club Food Night
This Thursday night sees another Diveline Club food night with Dave preparing shepherds pie for those attending, as usual please book your space in the pool and mention you would like to eat too!
Uemis Zurich Dive Computers
Diveline are pleased to announce they have been appointed as the areas exclusive dealer for the new Uemis Zurich dive computers and accessories!
The Uemis Zurich, an advanced dive computer with a gorgeous OLED display.
This “scuba diver assistant”, an advancement on the traditional scuba dive computer, offers a full colour display with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio, a wireless connection to your scuba tanks to report remaining pressure, and straps that are easy to manage even when you’re wearing gloves.
The Uemis Zurich diver assistant connects to a PC by USB cable to charge, as well as to synchronise your dive log online with Uemis’ web-based profiles.
The Lithium Polymer battery provides about 10 hours of use between charges. Not only can you charge by connecting to your laptop, but an integrated solar panel allows you to charge the unit while sitting on the boat deck between dives!
Diveline Ipswich suit room refit
The refit of the suit room at the Ipswich shop is almost complete, it will give our customers a better idea of what we have in stock amongst the 500 plus suits we carry in stock at any one time!
We will have plenty of bargains in the coming weeks as we clear out old stock to allow the 2010 range to be stocked!
Mystery Diver
We have been visited by Diver Magazine’s mystery diver team, while the article was not all positive the overall assessment was almost the complete package!
Some of the issues raised were already in the process of being resolved like new signs and the trailer having Diveline graphics applied, the compressor we feel is not open to members of the public as it is in enclosed area, we can only think that they were talking about the new CompAir compressor which is never used and is due to be moved to the Colchester shop sometime soon!.

New Atomic Product Range
We are pleased to have been appointed as an official Atomic dealer and look forward to having the full range in stock soon, we will as usual be offering our price match promise on all of this high end equipment! Atomic offer some outstanding regulators along with some of the best masks, fins and snorkels in the market place.

We are pleased to have become Ipswich & Colchester’s exclusive dealer for the full SEAC Sub range of scuba equipment, this gives us an even greater product range for our customers both instore and online, SEAC Sub has a full range of equipment including mask, fins, snorkels, regulators and BCD’s.

Diveline Try Scuba Diving Tour 2009 (Event Four)
The August bank holiday weekend saw the Diveline Team back on the road for the fourth and final event of the year at the Eye Show! we once again had the show pool on site which resulted over 60 people having a go at scuba diving over the 2 days.
For next year we are putting together a show trailer to give us an even better impact at the shows, this will also give us better changing facilities for participants and allow us to use the back of the van as a mini cinema to showcase the outstanding facilities we have at our centres, we will also show some of the outstanding videos we have made over the years, we will also be getting a larger pool!
We would like to thank our team who made the Eye Show happen while the rest of the team were out sunning ourselves on a liveaboard in the Red Sea with sharks, dolphins and guests!
 
Diveline Colchester Opening Party
The launch party at Diveline Colchester went with a bang with around 60 people turning up throughout the evening, the raffle was the main even with over £2000 of prizes given away!

Diveline Nemo Trip
The weekend saw 17 members of the Diveline Club travel to Brussels to do 2 days of diving at Nemo 33, we travelled in 4 cars via the EuroTunnel with plenty of fun and games along the way.
Day 1 saw several people suprised that they could freedive to 10 metres but with a look of horror when they looked up from the bottom to see how much further it seemed back up to the surface! The diving was varied with some happy to just play around the 10 metre caves and the top of the dive tank with others racing to the bottom to experience narcosis! by the 3rd dive everyone was starting to have some real fun and games! in the evening we went for dinner and then saw some heading out on the town for the night.
Day 2 had just the one dive at Nemo with the rest of the day spent touring the Belgium town of Ypres and also visiting the WW1 Tyne Cot Cemetery, then a race to the Cite Europe shopping centre for dinner before boarding the EuroTunnel for a cream cake fight on the journey home.

This weekend saw the team at Xtreme Fest giving away plenty of free vouchers for try dives at the shop pool, we had a lot of interest with people not knowing you could actually dive in the UK!
Suunto ACW Service Centre
Diveline have recently become a Suunto ACW service centre which gives our customers the benefit of 24 hour turn around on the complete range of Suunto dive computers and dive watches!
Teksport Kayaks in Stock
Diveline are pleased to be stockists for the Teksport Kayaks, we have now received our initial stocks and will be stocking the complete range, we will also renting some variants out at a reasonable cost!
Diveline Holiday Draw.
We are giving away one free place on a holiday to the Red Sea in 2010, this offer is only open to members of the Diveline club and can be entered any time you spend over £100 in a single transaction, their is no limit to the amount of times you can enter but only once per day!
Entry will start on June 15th 2009, entry forms must be filled in on the day of purchase, all areas of the form must be completed in full or the form will be rejected, the draw will take place on June 30th 2010, the holiday will be on one of our pre-booked Red Sea shore based or Red Sea liveaboard holidays between July 1st and December 31st 2010, Diveline will choose which holiday will be given!
The Diveline Club is open to qualified divers from all training agencies and costs from £35 to join!
Diveline Try Scuba Diving Tour 2009 (Event Two)
This week saw Diveline attend the Suffolk Show and we were very suprised with the amount of people who braved the chilly water of our show pool. Day one saw Lee in the pool doing demonstration dives to the public and letting the brave ones have a go during the windy conditions. Day two saw Martin doing the demonstration dives with considerably more sun to warm him up, he did however fall asleep during the bike stunt show in the Grand Ring and when he eventually woke up he came back and helped us pack up, Dave and Wayne looked after the customer enquiries.
 
Diveline Try Scuba Diving Tour 2009 (Event One)
This weekend saw us attend the Otley College Big Day Out for a one day event, this once again proved to be very popular with many people getting in the pool for their first taste of scuba diving and also many more booking for a try dive at the Ipswich shop in the future!
Colchester Zoo Partnership
Diveline have agreed to service the dive equipment at Colchester Zoo, this is used to clean the sea lion pools and some other in water attractions, as they are a registered charity we will be doing this free of charge to help them keep cost down! “please visit them soon with your friends and family”
Diveline Try Scuba Diving Tour 2009
We are fully booked up on our promotional tour again this year with team visiting the Otley College Big Day Out on the 9th of May the Suffolk Show on stand 658 on the 27th & 28th of May Xtreme Fest on the 26th of July and the Eye Show on the 30th & 31st of August also possibly one other big show to celebrate the launch of our new Colchester shop, the team will have a pool and equipment onsite to allow anyone to have a go and will also be selling a full range of snorkelling equipment and offering course vouchers with big discounts during the 2 days!

Mares 60th Anniversary offers at Diveline!
Dave heads to Spain while Steve goes to Uni!
We wish to thank David Cursons and Steve Wade for all their hard work for us over the years, in their time with Diveline they have both worked their way up to a PADI Staff Instructors.
Dave and his twin Steve have always been a true professionals and made our customers feel welcome and at ease, we have always been able to rely on them to turn up whenever needed.
They stuck by us during Diveline’s transition period for which I am most grateful.
Dave is heading off to Spain with new wife Sheila, we wish them both well in the future and hope they come back to visit us soon. Steve has gone off to Stafford University to study Engineering and will hopefully be back helping out when time permits, we hope he is successful in his studies!

We have now taken over the shop Shark Scuba ran in Colchester. This move will strengthen Diveline Limited giving the benefits of our 26 years of knowledge in the dive industry to the Colchester area! Also the depth of manufacturer support we have here at Diveline will give the Colchester shop a better presence in the marketplace along with our online shopping site at www.shop.diveline.co.uk
Our team of Instructors are working with the remaining Colchester Instructors to make a smooth transition, this will turn Diveline (Colchester) into the largest dive centre in Colchester with the widest range of products and brands, they will also have the best prices through the online shop and instore!
Diveline (Colchester) will become our Aqualung, Beaver, Aeris & TUSA super centre and will soon carry every product in every size for immediate purchase or delivery and are Colchester’s only authorised dealer and service centre for TUSA, Aqualung, Oceanic, Zeagle, ScubaPro, Sea-Doo, Aeris & Mares!
Diveline in Colchester will also have a 24/48 hour IDEST cylinder testing & Nitrox filling service available Monday to Saturday, why go anywhere else when its all available under one roof!
