New Compressor & Van
We have purchased a brand new compressor from Comp-Air as an addition to the existing one, this is due to the high volume of customers requiring air at peak times and also gives us the backup needed for those unforeseen circumstances!
We have also purchased a new Fiat Ducatto high top van, we felt the existing van was on its last legs & this was delivered today and is now at Graphic Jams in Felixstowe having the graphics applied!

The date for the cleanup is Sunday 7th September

Customer Praise
Well, we did it! the first 2 dives were a bit of a blur due to us being a bit nervous but the 3rd and 4th dives were great as we were much more relaxed. We had intended to do more dives but to be honest the standard of equipment we saw at some of the dive schools was a little worrying. It made us realise what a thoroughly professional set up you have at ‘Diveline’ and the equipment we used along with the instruction that you gave us was head and shoulders above anything else we saw during our trip. We can’t wait to do some more and will almost certainly try and join you on some of your outings in the UK and the trip to Egypt next year.

Cochran Dealership
Diveline have been appointed as the areas exclusive dealer by Cochran UK, we now have a range of the new computers in stock and also on our available on our web site, this expands our already massive range of equipment available in store and online to our customers.
Some years ago, the U.S. Navy extensively tested their Cochran Dive Computers at the Naval Experimental Diving Unit and followed that up with extensive field testing over several years. As a result, the Navy’s first Cochran Dive Computer was accepted for use by the elite Navy Seals and is being delivered in quantity. The Navy was so impressed with the functionality, quality, and reliability of that product that Cochran was tasked to develop three more Navy Dive Computers for other operational needs. All of these units are now being used by the U.S. Navy. The Cochran Navy units are the ONLY Dive Computers approved for use by the U.S. Navy. Because of our reputation, many Navies in other countries now purchase Cochran Dive Computers. All of our Dive Computers, including recreational and professional, are manufactured in our facility in Texas on the same production lines and to the same quality standards. Cochran is ISO 9001:2000 certified and our products are CE approved.

Big Day Out at Otley College
MORE than 4,000 people took advantage of the weekend's glorious sunshine by having a Big Day Out at the Otley College open day, Families across the region enjoyed scorching temperatures in a day based around fun activities.
This year's highlights included a farmers market, Morris dancers, face painting, a Scuba Diving Pool from Diveline in Ipswich was onsite to allow free try dives all day which was continuously busy, cookery demonstrations, a craft fair and a dog agility competition.
John Nice, college spokesperson, said: “The college has grown considerably over the last few years both in terms of the number of students we have and our showcase event that is the Big Day Out.
“While there is an educational slant to many of our activities, the day is based around family fun and everyone seemed to have a great time this year.
“Even now, most people still think that we only do agricultural courses at the college so it was fantastic that so many people managed to get a flavour of the huge range of courses and activities we are involved in.”
It was the fourth consecutive year that the college has hosted the Big Day Out.
New Sharm el Sheikh Hotel for 2008/9
I have just been to the Bay View Hotel to check out its facilities and also those of the Oxygene Dive Centre which we will be using from September 2008, I have to say that the friendliness of the staff and condition of the hotel is above all the standards required by us, the dive centre had only been open two weeks when I arrived and still has some work to be completed before it is ready for business and this will be checked out again by our staff in June, the one thing that was outstanding was the chance to do the Abu Nuhas Reef which has some of the best wrecks in the Red Sea, this day trip has not been offered to us in the past by any of the centres we used and is highly recommended.
New Holidays for 2009/10
We have now confirmed our travel itinerary for 2008, 2009 and the start of 2010. We have decided to stick with our 4 Red Sea shore based trips each year for those who like sun sea and a beach, we have also added 1 Red Sea liveaboard each year and also added an amazing trip to the Philippines in early 2010 as part of our world-wide fantasy trip series which will run every 2 years and earn participants special bonuses. More information coming soon!
Congratulations to the following Divers for their recent achievements!
Chris M, Anthony W, Paul M, Allen H, Gary B, Phil D who all became Open Water Divers & Louis T who became a Scuba Diver, these were all completed in Gildenbergh with a 8 degree water temp!

Diveline On-line Praise

Latest Diveline Holiday News
Our holidays from September 2008 to Sharm El Sheikh will now be based at the Bay View Hotel using the Oxygene Dive Club for the diving, this move was made for various reasons one of which was the costs which we felt was no longer value for money for our customers.
We have also booked a liveaboard for January 2009, this will be travelling down south to the Brothers for the spectacular reefs, plenty of pelagics and a couple of wrecks. Then we will be moving moving north to do the best wrecks in the Red Sea, this holiday will show you what diving is all about and represents the best value for money as it includes unlimited diving and full board.
You can now pay for your holiday monthly prior to departure, this will help you spread the cost and it won’t cost any extra for this service, as usual it must be fully paid for 10 weeks prior to departure.

Dive Show News
The dive show turned out to be a disappointment with only 3 manufacturers turning up to display their products, the majority of the stands were taken up by holiday companies who were offering new destinations. Other stands were offering a few of last years products at slightly reduced rates unlike previous years of massive discounts and the biggest surprise was that the usual massive stocks of cheap cylinders on offer ran out on the first day as manufacturers reduce annual production
Diveline Nemo 33 Trip
Some of the Diveline club members recently enjoyed a 2 day trip to Belgium, after a few dives in the Nemo 33 metre pool we had a bit sight seeing in Brussels before heading back to the EuroTunnel.

We think up the trips and the other clubs follow!
Oceanic Dealer Seminar
Oceanic recently had their annual seminar, this was held in Leper, Belgium this year to showcase their 2008 product range.

We saw some great new products which will soon be available with the usual Lifetime Warranty, we also had time to visit some of the First World War Cemeteries in the area and the Menin Gate memorial to the lost British and Commonwealth Soldiers.

ITFC at Diveline
We are pleased to be able to help Ipswich Town Football Club’s injured players recover. They will have full access to our 3m deep pool for in water exercise which will help the players maintain their fitness levels.

The first player to benefit from this was Richard Naylor who had several sessions which will hopefully enable a speedy return to the team once his injury has healed.
Fabian Wilnis & Gavin Williams have become the latest ITFC players to benefit from using our pool for their injury recovery and fitness.
We would like to thank the club for their support.
Ipswich Rivers Cleanup 2007
The Ipswich Rivers Cleanup in association with Greenways Countryside Project, CSV, PADI Project Aware, Sackers Recycling, Graphic Jams, Legal & General and Communities & Local Government was just as successful as last years event, even with the doubts we would have enough rubbish to collect.

This year we carried on where we left off last year which was under the Yarmouth road bridge, this quickly yielded great results with shopping trolleys, bikes, road signs, traffic cones and motorcycles amongst the two big skips worth recovered.
Due to the fact that we had planned for more dive time this year we decided to move down to the Handford road bridge after a quick lunch break, this quickly proved a formidable task with the dive team quickly discovering a washing machine, more trolleys, bikes, road signs and traffic cones by the stack.
Thank you to Becky for all the hard work in making this happen
24-Hour Sponsored Dive
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in our 24-hour dive relay over the weekend.
The event was in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign for all the help and support they gave Wayne when he was treated at the Marsden for testicular cancer.

For those of you who missed it, or who took part but were unable to come back at the end, we raised £1,708 on the day, which is a fantastic result! More money will be coming in over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye on the web site to find out the final figure!
Pictures from the event will be on the web site soon – check it out to see underwater table football, a torch light disco, and all sorts of other fun!
The early hours of Sunday morning could have been a really bad time but a core group of real troopers kept the dive going and even managed to have a good laugh in the process. However, the entire event was only a success because of the commitment and enthusiasm of every single person who took part, and we would like to say a personal thank you to all of you for your support.
A big thank you to Becky for all the hard work in making this happen
Suffolk Show Success
Diveline in association with Otley college installed a 15 ft pool in the Suffolk Show sports village, this allowed around a hundred people to try scuba diving at the Suffolk Show including presenters from Suffolk Radio and Town FM.

Diveline would like to thank Otley College and all their staff who assisted us over the 2 days of the show, please visit http://www.otleycollege.ac.uk for further information on the College.
Diveline 2006 News
Wishing Well & Children in Need
Diveline helped raise over £1000 for Children in Need by recovering money from the bottom of the wishing well at the Four Horseshoes Public House.

As you can see the conditions were poor to say the least, at 3m below it was a case of feeling around for all the coins and objects that had been thrown in over the years, Thanks to ITV and Suffolk Radio for their coverage of the event.
River Gipping Cleanup 2006
Diveline club members in association with ITV Big Cleanup, Greenways Countryside Project, CSV, PADI Project Aware and Ipswich Council cleaned an area of the River Gipping in Ipswich.

Click here to look at our recent clean up day
The divers salvaged an amazing amount of stuff from the river bed including shopping trolleys, push bikes, motorbikes, cones and a safe, we had to stop in the end as the local authorities couldn’t handle the vast amounts of rubbish being pulled from the water.
